Think Of A Day
05:05
|
|||
Think of a day
as bright as any other
Remember that day
Think of a day
with passion undiscovered
Remember that day
Think of a day
Remember that day
Remember the way it feels
That’s when you need me most
That’s when you need me most
Think of a time
When no one seemed to listen
Remember that time
Think of a time
With no one there to kiss
Remember that time
Think of tonight
When we will be together
Remember tonight
Think of tonight
Our arms around each other
Remember tonight
Think of tonight
Remember tonight
Remember the way it feels
That’s when I need you most
That’s when I need you most

You'll Get A Letter
04:00
|
|||
I’m going far
Across the sea
Goodbye
You’ll get a letter
You’ll get a letter
On the ship
Waters’ green
Not long ‘til
You’ll get a letter
You’ll get a letter
I guess you should explain
What I am doing here
Why I left you in pain
In person
You make me nervous
Sun in the sky
On my back on the beach
I keep falling sleep
Nothing can keep me up
Everything is so nice
How are you hands?
Do they still twitch a lot?
Maybe you need a rest
Why don’t you take a break?
Mellow a little bit
Then I might come back to you, if you do
Then I might come back to you if you do…

Dream House Destroyed
03:41
|
|||
Through the town
Down the street
Across the plains
I’ve come home
And I’ve never
Seen more people
Gathered 'round my home
Around my house
They part and reveal
My home destroyed
My dream house destroyed
My dream house destroyed

Gravity
04:39
|
|||
A man approached the mouth of a very deep chasm
As he pauses at the rim, the soil gives way beneath
and he is at once falling helpless into the void
As he falls, he fears not for his life -
for he knows that death is unavoidable -
but instead, prays that he will have a quick and painless demise
Suddenly, the blur of images vanish around him
as he drops yet further into a larger cavity
He strains to see the distant walls
but sees only an endless expanse of nothingness
both around and below him
As he looks above, he sees only the fading crack from which he came
And in time, it too disappears
As all things are relative, he comes to realize that he can
no longer gauge his rate of descent
He begins to imagine himself as a stationary object
floating within the realm of a great vacuum
It is not long before he sincerely believes his deception
And with eyes closed, secure with his illusion
he falls to meet solid ground

Obscured (redux)
01:42
|
|||
Again so right, you feel the chill
And you know just where you have aimed
But certainty is lost once more
(You’re not far off, just a fraction to the left
But the target remains… obscured)
(You) shoot at mirrors
You miss, so near
But a miss is a miss just the same
and only the image remains

This One She Knows
02:16
|
|||
This one she knows
Trust no lies
but her own
One time’s enough to see
This one she knows
One lie will do
One lie from you - I’m gone
This one
This one
This one she knows

Tears Never Lie
05:58
|
|||
Third of July, but my heart reads December
Tears never lie, as far as I can tell
I cannot fight, this moment I surrender
Now it’s the time of year to mourn
Tears never lie, I watch them fall
False to the time, tears never lie
Lost in a crowd, there are faces I remember
Strange how they fade, when still my eyes can see
I’ve gone away, while still my body’s standing
This place, these hands, this face, it grieves
Tears never lie, I watch them fall
False to the time, tears never lie
Fifth of July, it feels it’s been a lifetime
Tears never lie, unless they are you own

Peoria (redux)
03:46
|

Eyes cold, you told me to go
So here I am in Peoria
I’m missing you, when I see a factory
It isn’t warm, it isn’t home
But here I am in Peoria
